What we hope to get out of this project is a greater understanding of the way these Animal rescue groups work. We want to know the process of a smaller group such as the Bideawee and we want to be able to spread awareness for these groups; just because they’re a small group, doesn’t mean that they don’t try as hard as other, larger organizations. Primarily, we want to have fun with what we are doing by interacting with our chosen organization, and we also want to become kinder people, and what better way to achieve that than by working with small animals?

     

   Also important to note, is that we want people to be aware of this issue. People see cats all the time in NYC and don’t think twice about them. If nothing is done know to control cat overpopulation, future generations will have to find a way to deal with a huge feral cat population. The cats will be everywhere, some may cause damage to human property or be aggressive. Most importantly, it will be very sad to see small animals struggling to survive or simply dying on the streets from bad conditions. The city environment would be completely different from what it is today, animal cruelty levels would probably rise, and more cats would get killed rather than adopted.
